The Navua River Trip

February 25, 2014: We took Monday and headed with Clint's family to Navua River to take the scenic trip up the river to the waterfalls and see a local village. This was our last real day with them unil they return from New Zealand for just a day. Absolutely a marvelous idea for the end of our time with them! Look at this adventure!

Elder Neil L. Andersen Visits

Elder Neil L. Andersen, a member of the Twelve Apostles, and his lovely wife, along with the Callisters, and Hallicks, visited Fiji for about four days. We were able to sit in meetings where they all spoke to us -- so very awesome to be taught the gospel principles. The spirit was strong in our missionary meeting, our Sunday meeting, and even at the Cultural Event at the Church College. We took some pictures at the cultural program organized by our local leaders. Thought you would enjoy :)

Kiuva Again!

Saturday Outing to Kiuva Beach out of Nausori; this time with the Senior Couples: Petersons, Wells, and Jacksons. The Petersons drive one of the mission vans for their vehicles as they are working with the youth at the Institute--teaching and directing...our mode of travel this time. The Wells are from Utah, are friends with our good friends, Dave and Dora Faux (were in the West Indies with them, they are the couple in charge of audits); and the Jacksons work with PEF.

The tide seemed to be out just a little farther than our first time; this was our first glimpse of this beach for the second time. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day! Remember, we just visited this beach with Elder and Sister Terry a week ago!

Down the beach we found a group net-fishing; we spent a good deal of time watching, sort of helping, just enjoying what they were doing and the cute, cute kids!

Sister Petersen emphasized with this disheartened little boy when someone took away his bag; this guy just had to have his picture taken when he got his head/hand stand "just right".

Walking/wading the beach and even tried some snorkeling....needed to get out to the reef! just clear water!

Picnic Time!! While we were saying the blessing on our food, one of the chickens came right in amongst us and took a bite out of Elder Peterson's sandwich! Wish we could have taken that picture...lol

On the way home-- yes! a flat tire! We had village help though; they are the best! Sister Wells even added a missionary discussion :)

A PRETTY PLACE!! GOOD GROUP!! A GREAT TIME!!
