College Chickens

We benefit from the College Farm--their vegetables and now their chickens! One Hundred small chickens were bought and then nurtured for several months.

They grew from this (cutest little things!) to these 4-5 lb. fryers:

When they started to harvest them and sell them to the community, we decided that we wanted a couple also. They sold them live mostly; but, we wanted to kill and clean ours! Brother Raman, the farm manager was there to help us; he kept commenting on how "Elder Collins is the first Palangi to ever help do this!"

A student helped and we gave him our chicken feet (a favorite amongst them!--I actually like them also). Sister Iva Konataci was there also cleaning some for her family and the Baking & Patisserie classes that she teaches. Brother Prasad joined us, Vice Principal in charge of finances.

TO THIS!!! FINAL PRODUCT!!! VERY YUMMY!!!
