At the end of 2nd Term, the school is out for two weeks....we were at the school doing things for the first part; and meeting with the Alands, our area directors from New Zealand; and then took the last three days and traveled to Nadi with the Deckers. We stopped along the way to get our finger bananas and watched the sugar cane carts loading when we were almost to Nadi.
We stayed at Worldmark by Wyndam on Denarau Island (thanks to Paul and Sue Carsey for giving up some bonus credits). Great place! Swimming pool and the beach--awesome!
We spent some time exploring the Nadi area--The Wood Turners was especially interesting; love these wood products and how they are made!! We also visited Jack's Wood Turning Factory where they make this product in a bigger fashion with lots of modern tools--but didn't take pictures.
We ate at Mamacitas Mexican Food, located right at the resort, and watched a fire dancing show... great food! great show!
We also spent time out on the deck at night.....relaxing!
Fun moments! Again, we visited The Sleeping Giant Botanical Garden; always a favorite! Orchids!
Enjoyed the sunsets!!
Ed's new ride!!
On the way home, we visited The Mango Bay, ate supper, talked fishing trips with the owners, and watched the sunset---Nice ending to our little vacation!
