Here is a group of people that you need to meet. These are the vocational faculty that we work with every day; we have gotten to know them and it has been a real treat! Sister Buresova is retiring this year from the Home Economics position as teacher and also she has been the Head of the TVET (vocational) Dept. She has taught at LDS Fiji College for 14 years now; and says she is ready to "step down".
The others in the Department decided that we needed to give her a "going away--appreciation breakfast; so we did! Four of the men sang for/to her and it was truly touching. We brought enough food for the entire school :) Here are some pictures I took of the occasion. Elder Collins was unable to attend as he accompanied the "Form 7" (equivalent to 13th Grade)on their activity to do baptisms at the temple.
From left to right in the first picture is Senitiki Vuetibau (Metal Fabrication), Edward Raman (Farm Manager), Apensia Baleivatu (Agriculture), Neori Kete (Woodwork/Construction), Cheryl Bhan (Computers), Timoci Diloi (Automotive), and in the center is Sister Lavenia Buresova.
